· Me? I've had so many names. Old names that only the wind and the trees can pronounce. I am the mountain, the forest and the earth. I am... I am a faun. Your most humble servant, Your Highness. (El Laberinto del Fauno)

    An experimental 30secondstomars tribute site.

This domain hasn’t a long history so far, even though I consider it my greatest creation ever and I feel like maintaining it since a century. Its real importance stays in the name. This is the only argument about which I disagree with Shakespeare. Names matter. And despite the fact that a rose would smell the same even if we call it “kinkajoo”, this domain wouldn’t be the same without the name it has. It took me ages to choose it and guess it hasn’t been easy.

I started with the idea of buying a domain called “personal-factory.org”, inspired by Rohald Dhal and his Chocolate Factory. Then I understood that I wasn’t going to be a chocolate-genius for long, so I subscribed a registration for “phoenix-eversor.org”. I loved that name, I found it while browsing my Latin vocabulary. It means “The Destroyer Phoenix” and in Italian it also makes rhyme as it’s “la fenice distruttrice”. Obviously, it was dedicated to the Mithra and 30secondstomars, in a quibbling way. But that wasn’t meant to be. It lasted 28 days and then the hosting company sent me an email telling me that my credit card wasn’t registered in I-don’t-know-which-register and so they erased my domain.

Destiny called me during Christmas holidays. Instead of giving up with my so-called web-life, I decided to try again, and this time I chose to call the website like my favourite song of the brand new 30secondstomars album: From Yesterday, track #7. Does anyone believe in numerology? I do. 7 is my lucky number, as it represents my month, July.
And so, here it is, one year old and finally revamped as 30secondstomars command.
The Song

30secondstomars - From yesterday (A Beautiful Lie 2005)

He’s a stranger to some
And a vision to none
He can never get enough,
Get enough of the one

For a fortune he'd quit
But it’s hard to admit
How it ends and begins
On his face is a map of the world, a map of the world
On his face is a map of the world, a map of the world

refrain:
From yesterday, it’s coming
From yesterday, the fear
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message...

On a mountain, he sits,
Not of gold but of shit
Through the blood he can look,
See the lives that he took
From a council of one
He’ll decide when he's done with the innocent
On his face is a map of the world, a map of the world
On his face is a map of the world, a map of the world

(refrain)
But he doesn't want to read the message
He doesn't want to read the message here

On his face is a map of the world

(refrain)
From yesterday,
From yesterday,
From yesterday, the fear
From yesterday
From yesterday
But he doesn't want to read the message
He doesn't want to read the message
He doesn't want to read the message here
